SARAH'S PORTFOLIO
Introduction to 2D Design

Project #1
Using three of the principles of design, unity, emphasis, and rhythm, we made an advertising billboard that won our class! We accomplished unity through color. We chose to do a monochromatic blue color scheme. This unified all of the separate collages making them one whole image. Emphasis was demonstrated by color as well. The only color in overall project are the title boxes. The background being all black and white really creates emphasis on the Family and Consumer Sciences department and all of its parts. And lastly, rhythm. There is consistency through the entire project. While the collages are somewhat random, rhythm is prevalent. Because of the borders, black and white filters, and flowing color scheme, rhythm can be seen throughout.

Project #2
Our main objective was to demonstrate both value change and balance in a geometric, 3D design.

Project #4
Using complimentary colors, I created two contrasting floor plans. One cool toned, one warm toned. I picked fabrics and materials then inserted them into the given floor plan using photoshop.
